Imagine a California where the voices of ordinary people mattered more to our government than the desires of corporate billionaires.

Your vote decides the rules that set your rent, how much you pay at the pump or grocery store and even what’s in your paycheck. Your vote determines who our elected leaders listen to: ordinary people, or their wealthy donors.

Billionaires and corporations are spending millions to silence you and stop you from voting. They’re spreading lies and confusion and putting up new road blocks. They know when ordinary people turn out, politicians start paying attention to the things that matter to most of us - our wages, our health care and our families. The answer isn’t sitting this one out. It’s showing up.

Take the pledge and protect the election. Together, we can stop the billionaires this November.

After you sign up, you’ll get updates on opportunities and actions happening near you to defend the elections from Koreatown Workers Alliance and We Are California. Join thousands of Californians in sending a clear message to billionaires: Can't Stop California!

Protect the vote in your neighborhood.  Become a neighborhood vote protector. Every vote is a decision about our healthcare, housing, wages, and who gets to make the rules – which is exactly why our votes need to be protected. The Trump administration is trying to rig the outcomes of the election by creating chaos, fear, and new roadblocks to keep us from voting. We Are California and   are training thousands of Neighborhood Vote Protectors across the state to watch the polls in their communities, safely document and report incidents to legal experts, and make sure every voter knows their rights to cast a ballot without fear or intimidation. Join a short training to learn how you can look out for your neighbors, your block, and your local polling place.

More About KIWA: Worker Justice

Founded in 1992, KIWA builds power with immigrant workers and renters to bring about a more just and inclusive California.

One of the nation’s most established worker centers, KIWA organizes primarily Latino and Korean workers, with a focus on the restaurant and retail industries, in Koreatown and beyond.

KIWA aligns strategic worker and community organizing with policy change, leadership development, research, services, and coalition-building.

Because of their immense impact on workers' lives, KIWA also works in the areas of civic engagement, economic policy, immigration, housing policy, and land-use reform.
